RECIPE | Roasted Bone Marrow
Ingredients
Long bone sawed in half longitudinally with ends removed
Seasoning: salt, pepper, thyme
Instructions
Sprinkle seasoning over the marrow (as it cooks it will melt in)
Place the bone in the oven around 160 degrees Celsius for 15-20 mins
Remove allow to cool slightly as it will be very hot and enjoy.
Simply scoop out, I like the idea of scooping it straight out of the bone, kind of adds to the novelty.
Options: You can garnish with some finely chopped parsley and chives for a nice finishing touch.
Notes: Marrow is predominately fat (90%) I believe, therefore is very rich. Nutrient dense and highly regarded as a superfood amongst the paleo and Weston A Price camps. I would not settle for anything other than grassfed and finished and organic
