CANDIDA & YEAST SUPPORT
MegaMycoBalance is formulated with undecylenic acid and bee propolis to support healthy yeast and fungal balance in the body.*
MegaMycoBalance™ in conjunction with MegaSporeBiotic™ can help recondition the gut with healthy yeast balance and repair damage to the intestinal lining.
What is MegaMycoBalance?
MegaMycoBalance is formulated with undecylenic acid and bee propolis to support healthy yeast and fungal balance in the body.
Undecylenic acid is an organic fatty acid derived from castor bean oil that supports a healthy balance of yeast (including Candida albicans) in the gut. Bee propolis is a plant resin that bees use to line their hives.
MegaMycoBalance can support a healthy balance of vaginal flora by restoring balance to the intestinal flora.
Candida albicans
Candida albicans is a yeast that occurs naturally in the human mouth and intestines. In small amounts, this natural fungus can aid in nutrient digestion and absorption, but an overgrowth can damage the intestinal lining and release toxic byproducts directly into the circulatory system. If not addressed quickly, Candida overgrowth can become chronic and lead to fungal skin issues, fatigue, brain fog, mood swings, and even seasonal allergies. Research has shown Candida albicans ability to invade the epithelial cells of the gut cause tissue damage to the gut lining contributing to increased permability/leaky gut. Once the intestinal lining becomes porous and hyperpermeable, endotoxins from the intestinal lumen, like lipopolysaccharide (LPS) can enter directly into circulation, triggering an innate immune response that often results in sub-clinical, low-grade inflammation.
Pathogenic and opportunistic yeasts, like Candida albicans, spread quickly through the intestines by creating tiny roots, or hyphae, that can become deeply embedded in the intestinal wall. This embedment of hyphae makes it very difficult to control yeast overgrowth in the body. MegaMycoBalance can help support a healthy yeast balance in the gut by targeting these roots.*
Bee Propolis
Bee propolis is the waxy, resinous material that bees use to line their hives in order to protect against bacteria and fungi. Propolis contains the flavonoids pinocembrin, galangin, and pinobanksin which have antifungal properties.
Research has shown propolis has very high antifungal properties to a significant number of yeast and mold pathogens such as Candida albicans, Candida tropicalis, and Candida glabrata, Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus ochraceus, Penicillium viridicatum, and Penicillium notatum to highlight just a few of the many species.
Undecylenic Acid
Studies have shown undecylenic acid is able to inhibit Candida albicans biofilm formation as well as disrupting the transition from yeast to filamentous phase.
Another study found undecylenic acid was able to inhibit the conversion of yeast cells to hyphae
Dosing Instructions
Ages 8+: Start by taking 1 softgel daily with or without a meal for one week. If tolerated, increase by 1 softgel each week to reach the full dose of 2 softgels 2-3 times daily. Children under 8 years of age, please consult with your healthcare practitioner.
Die off / Herxheimer Reactions
Die-off symptoms are similar to flu like symptoms with body ache, feeling tired & exacerbation of underlying gut symptoms when using any natural antimicrobial or antibiotics. Combining Mega IgG2000 (which helps with absorbing toxins released by microbes) or Mega Mucosa (helps heal the gut lining) may assist with minimising or avoiding these symptoms.
If taking medication, pregnant, or breastfeeding please consult a licensed healthcare provider before taking this supplement. Vitamin supplements should not replace a balanced diet. Always read the label. Use as directed. If symptoms persist, talk to your health professional.
