These raw chocolate tarts are perfect guilt free treats for the festive season :)
Ingredients
Base
2 cups Almonds (preferably activated)
1 cup Macadamias
2 1/2 cups medjool dates, pitted (approx. 15)
2 TBS coconut oilGood pinch of Celtic or Himalayan sea salt
Chocolate filling
4 avocados
4-6 TBS Cacao powder
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/4 - 1/2 Cup raw honey
1 TBS Maca powder (optional)
Filtered Water (as needed for desired consistency)
Instructions
Base: Add the base ingredients into a food processer and pulse until a nice smooth consistency is created Then compact into muffin trays, creating a cup for the filling.
Place in the freezer while you prepare the filling
Filling: Add the ingredients (minus the water) into food processor and process
Add the water as needed for the desired smooth consistency be careful not to overdo the water and create a runny liquid up to 1/2 cup of water should be enough.
Then add the filling to the cups created with the base & refrigerate, should be set after around 3 hours
To serve add your favourite toppings. I love fresh organic blueberries
